Having had a victory in the minor skirmish that was bringing ‘Fast’ broadband (I hesitate to say ‘super fast’ because it isn’t) I picked this nugget of bad news up on the BBC website:

Essentially it says that the government is turning (not a complete ‘U-turn’ but almost) the commitment to deliver the best SFB in Europe on its head. The article says (sic) that many rural areas will become a ‘service on demand’, so if you don’t have it yet, then it could be four, yes 4, years hence.
If you are unhappy, write to Connecting Cheshire or your ward Councillor or your MP. This is a major setback.
