IMPORTANT NEWS:

Although our Parish Plan was adopted in 2013 and it gave the Parish Council a series of primary themes to follow, there has been a concern that it isn’t strong enough or clear enough to provide a long term template upon which to base the future of the communities that make up the parish.

The proposed developments in Utkinton (by Muir Housing, Plus Dane and Marcol/Vivio – this latter developer has applied twice for Northgate Field), and the possibility of development elsewhere have prompted the Parish Council to consider strengthening the Parish Plan by upgrading it to a Neighbourhood plan.  As a consequence it is the intention to propose a resolution to move towards a Neighbourhood Plan at the next Parish Council Meeting on 13^th September in Utkinton Village Hall.

There will be a short presentation by Graham Weaver, who lives in Utkinton but was an integral part of the successful Tattenhall Neighbourhood Plan Team and all residents from Cotebrook and Utkinton are welcome to attend.

If the PC resolves to follow the Neighbourhood Plan option this meeting will be followed up by a full Parish Consultation in the week before before the Parish Council meeting in Cotebrook on 11^th October and all residents will be notified of the time and place.

The Parish Council welcomes and encourages all residents to these meetings and to have a say in the future of the Parish.
