Tarporley Shuttle & Community Transport – Changes

We are thankful for a resident and user of the current ‘Tarporley Shuttle’ for alerting us to some changes that are proposed , in fact they start on the 3rd April, to the current Tarporley Shuttle service.

This, currently, runs Monday – Friday between 09:30 and 14:30 enabling residents who are ‘members’ to book travel for the next day.

The changes are:

‘Community Car Scheme’: Tarporley Shuttle will be replaced by a ‘Community Car Scheme’ operating from Tarporley around the Ward and a little further and it will operate between 09:30 and 14:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Another big difference is that there will be NO CONCESSIONS and the ‘Bus Pass’ is not valid.  It will be by car and will need to be booked.  The charges will be £3.00 single and £5.00 return (provided this is on the same day).

‘Community Bus Service’:  This will operate between Utkinton and Cheshire Oaks on Tuesday and Thursday leaving at 09:20 and returning at 14:50.  Existing concessions will apply.  It will follow the following route:

(Dep. 09:20) -Utkinton – Tarporley – Tiverton – Brassey Green – Huxley – Hoofield – Tarvin – Chester City Centre – Countess of Chester – Cheshire Oaks

Cheshire Oaks – Countess of Chester – Chester City Centre – Tarvin – Hoofield – Huxley – Brassey Green – Tiverton – Tarporley – Utkinton (Arr. 14:50).

Up till now we have not been consulted in relation to these changes and are having a meeting with ‘Traffic Commissioning’ for CWaC later this week.

We would like to have your views and would greatly appreciate you letting us have them by Wednesday morning 28th March – we know its a tight deadline but we have only just found out.
