We have had a number of questions about the amount required to preserve the War Memorial and its surroundings in Utkinton;

Putting it simply the Parish Council is seeking to raise between £2,500 and £3,000 and, at the time of writing had raised around £800, with more pledges to be redeemed.

What will the funds be spent on?

Cleaning the stone, repairing any damage, making the names and text more readable, replacing the stones around the memorial, renovating the benches and replacing the plastic planters with stone ones.

We are currently discussing this with contractors and hope to be able to let everyone know who is chosen.
