Tarporley Remembers …

Despite the title this isn’t simply about Tarporley but all of the villages that make up the ward.  By the end of 1918 61 men from our villages fell in the ‘war to end all wars’.

‘Tarporley Remembers’ is about remembering people who have not been around for more than 100 years – but thanks to records we are able to piece together their stories, however, we need your help.  If you have relatives who lived in or around Tarporley, Cotebrook, Eaton, Little Budworth, Rushton or Utkinton around the period 1914 – 1918 we’d like to hear from you.  Even better do you have photographs, medals, letters, keepsakes and memories of these brave souls we’d like to get in touch with you.

‘Tarporley Remembers’ is putting together a series of events leading up to  11 November 2018 and a part of that will be telling the stories of these soldiers in depictions, written word and exhibits, but we cannot tell their stories without you.

If you think you can help, no matter how small the memory or recollection, please get in touch.
