You may have seen a yellow road closure sign on John Street.

We have asked CWaC about this and below is their reply.

The works are being undertaken by Heath Shingler, who will issue a full TTRO prior to the works.

• The reason for the closure – this closure is pre-patching works ahead of the planned surface dressing works.
• Whether the road will be closed for the full 48 hours or reopened 6pm-8am – the road will be reopened outside of the working hours.
• Whether a diversion route will be sign posted/provided. – A full diversion route will be provided and signed. Those requiring access within the closure will have their access maintained, although it may be subject to a slight delay or they may be required to follow the diversion route to access from the alternate direction.
