CALL FOR WW1 INFO: Event on May 4th
The organisers of a special project for Tarporley Remembers 2018 are holding a drop-in session on May 4th at the Community Centre for residents who may have information, stories or documents relating to Tarporley in World War 1.
They are currently making preparations for the ‘Living Memories’ project, which will see Tarporley WW1 stories brought vividly to life by ‘strolling players’ who will visit the High Street this summer, including during Tarp Fest in June.
If you have any information about Tarporley during World War 1, particularly about soldiers that are listed on the Tarporley War Memorial, you are welcome to attend the informal drop in event in the Community Centre Committee Room on Friday 4th May, between midday and 4pm.
Alternatively, you can call the Tarporley Remembers team on 01829 310212 or email tarporleyremembers2018@gmail.com or frank Tunney
If you have any photographs, documents, letters, medals or memorabilia related to WW1 or your relatives’ who may have participated, we would be very grateful to scan or copy them so they can be shared within the project.
