I have to say that I haven’t been around for much of the day but I was disturbed when I received an impassioned call from a local business complaining of the huge impact that the closure for resurfacing has had on the business.  I have written to CWaC asking why the ‘Businesses open as usual’ signs weren’t up all day, but when I arrived home late this afternoon I stopped to ask the contractors what the situation was – obviously they hadn’t finished!  But they were just reopening the road.

The response was that John Street and Willington Road would be open over the weekend and closed again on Tuesday.  I will post again on Tuesday morning once I can find any information.
