Cheshire West and Chester Council has this week launched a consultation seeking views on proposed changes to the Council Tax premium charged to the owners of empty and largely unfurnished properties that have been vacant for over two years.
This includes raising the Council Tax from 50% to 100% with effect from April 19 as they believe this will help increase the mount of available housing stock.
The consultation can be found at the following link and is open until 24 October.
