In conversation with one of the elder statesmen of the village, it was suggested that Utkinton had a small (but perfectly formed) football team in the 50s or 60s.  Does anyone have any more information?  We would love to know where they played, what they were called and possibly how successful it was.  Pictures would be wonderful.

There is a rumour that they played on the field outside Rose Farm Shop before moving to Wood Lane – anyone know any more?

We’ve just found out that ‘Bumblebee Hall on Northgate was used as the ‘changing rooms’ which adds a little more to the story.
