We were lucky to have Sir John at the opening of the extension to Cotebrook Village Hall recently where he dedicated one of the new rooms to his wife – and it is being well used already.  But few know of his background – though many will have used the ‘Timpsons Shops’ for keys and other stuff and even fewer will know of the new ‘Barber Shops’ that his business is opening alongside some retailers across the country – I used one this week and they are really good.

But this piece isn’t about patting his organisation on the back, it is to give you an opportunity to read his piece about the paucity of city and town centres and it really is worth reading – even if you disagree with the perspective,
