Update on TRO4204 A49/A51 Four Lane Ends Junction (Red Fox)

We have received this update:

1 April for seven nights – a full junction closure – diversion route A49 Tarporley Road, A54 Winsford to Middlewich onto the A530 back onto the A534 past Reaseheath college and upto the A51 or continue to the A49 (and vice versa).  During the daytime, closures will remain on both Eaton Lane and A49 Beeston legs of the junction with only the straight on movement between Chester to Nantwich (and vice versa) open to traffic.  Please note that this element of works will be weather dependant, any inclement weather will prolong the works programme.

Monday 1st April to Monday 8th April on nights 19:00hrs (7pm) to 06:00hrs (6am) – The whole junction will be fully closed to traffic.  The diversion route will be in place.

Tuesday 2nd April to Monday 8th April both through the daytime & night time  – Both the A49 Beeston leg and Eaton Lane will be closed off to traffic at their junctions with the A49/A51 Chester to Nantwich.  The mainline only shall be open to traffic through this junction with no signals in place, so a free flow to traffic – a temporary speed restriction of 30mph will be in place.  Diversion routes to both the A49 Beeston and Eaton Lane side roads will be in place throughout.

Tuesday 9th April – The new signals are due to be switched on and the new full junction layout will be opened up.
