Cotebrook Greens – an Update

Residents of Cotebrook:

We really would like to hear your views about the future of the green that we rent from Cheshire West and Chester (see below) and there is a feedback form below.  This is one of those ‘use it or lose it’ situations and, unless we can find a resolution to drastically reduce the cost of maintenance, we will be passing it back to Cheshire West.

Please get in touch.

From 9th April: At last evening’s Parish Council meeting we had three residents from around the green below Woodland Close who had come to ask about the Parish Council’s plans – which, if you didn’t realise, were that the cost of rental and upkeep for two areas  that almost nobody uses were becoming prohibitive –  one of the two greens is very waterlogged for much of the year and the dominated by a massive apple tree..

The PC had planned to relinquish the leases this year (the waterlogged one from United Utilities, the other from Cheshire West) and the trio of residents asked whether there was anyway that the CWaC green could be retained.

So, we have agreed to try and halt proceedings and have a rethink, but we’d like to hear your views.  Get in touch via our ‘Feedback‘ page (just click on the link) and tell us what you might do with them and how the upkeep can be made more affordable.
