‘Lest We Forget’

We cannot open Utkinton Village Hall but we can bring you a short video showing the ‘Roll of Honour Board’ donated by Sir Phil and Lady Alexis Redmond in November 2018 to commemorate the centenary of the ending of WW1.

The board features the names of eight soldiers who were lost to the ‘Great War’ and a sailor lost in WW2 together with their cap badges and regimental insignia.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
