As you know – the Santa Float arrangements this year have been hit by the COVID restrictions however Rotary and 41 Club Tarporley have made arrangements to ensure that the children and community are not disappointed whilst also ensuring that they and the community remain safe and operate within advices and guidelines.
This does mean that as the float will not stop en route (but it will be travelling very slowly) the public are encouraged to come out to clap/flash lights and wave from their own gardens/doorsteps and there will be no door to door collections – as the float rounds raise money for local charities which are in dire need at this time there are things in place to allow donation by Just Giving Page – QR Code and Texts to Santa.
The float will be travelling en route with Santa and a driver – with 2 helpers for the float – it will NOT be stopping and all are encouraged to be out to wave and flash lights – the giving is through TEXT – Just Giving and QR Code.
Down on earth his little helpers can’t come to your doors to collect for local charities, so Santa has set up a Donation Page below – or scan the code on a phone:
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/santa-float
Donate by Text:
2SANTA to 70450 to donate £2
2SANTA 5 to 70450 to donate £5
2SANTA 10 to 70450 to donate £10
Texts cost the donation (£2, £5 or £10) plus one standard rate message. we’ve set up a text donation and just giving page this year. The companies that operate these take a small commission but this is still an efficient way for us to collect donation funds. Your donation will go into 41 clubs charitable trust account (Reg. charity no. 1090121) and will be divided between 41 club and Rotary for distribution to charities in the Tarporley and District area in the new year.
Thank you for your support in this difficult year.
