Following the recent ‘Road Safety Group’ meeting in Cotebrook Village Hall the Parish Council is working with local people in the Cotebrook area to address the issue of large wagons using Oulton Mill Lane as a short cut.

This is, as you are aware, a small country unsuitable for HGVs.  

We are hoping to hold a HGV traffic count in the next couple of weeks to gauge the numbers using this lane. The aim is to try and persuade CWaC to install signs like this (see below at The junction of the A49 and Eaton Lane) to dissuade hauliers from using it.
