Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish council is made up of nine local heroes who have been elected by the local community to serve residents at the first level of local government.  Their aim is to enhance and improve local facilities and to try to ensure that the area continues to be a fabulous spot to live in.

Parish Councillors are unpaid and give their time to attend meetings, hold community events and generally work to improve the area they live in.

There are no qualifications needed to be a parish councillor but you do need to be passionate about where you live, enjoy working with people and be IT literate as all the council’s processes and information is shared via email.

There is currently a casual vacancy on the council which the parish council legally need to advertise and report to Cheshire West and Chester Council, see below.

If you are interested in this vacancy or would like more information about the council, please contact the Clerk on utkintonandcotebrookclerk@gmail.com or the Chairman, Cllr Graham Spencer on GWSUCPC@gmail.com

Could you be a Parish Councillor?

Utkinton and Cotebrook Parish Council has a vacancy and is keen to hear from anyone who lives within 3 miles of either village and is passionate about supporting and improving the local area.

The meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month and you need to be able to read and answer emails, work with other people and have a real desire to help.  The role is voluntary but very interesting and rewarding and there is training available.
