The Parish Council has circulated the item below as a response to a proposal by CWAC to remove the ‘New Homes Bonus’ (NHB) as a funding stream to parish councils across the county:
New Homes Bonus – ‘E-Petition’
We have just been informed that the deadline for this e-petition has been extended to 31st March 2016. Tarporley Parish Council has also set up a paper petition in the Old Fire Chocolate shop in Tarporley. You may feel that this only affects Tarporley but over the past three or more years Utkinton and Cotebrook have benefited from the NHB and this has enabled the Parish Council to maintain the annual Precept at a low level. We are seeking to undertake some safety and security projects and losing the New Homes Bonus will, inevitably, lead to an increase in the precept.
We would urge you to look at the petition (either online or in the local shops) and sign it as soon as is possible.
Here is the URL for the petition:http://cmttpublic.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/mgEPetition…
