In 2012/2013 the Parish Council undertook the research and production of a Parish Plan based on an household survey of all households in the Parish. The outcomes are described in the attached PDF and it is this that governs much of what we as the Parish Council attempt to do.

Addendum to the Parish Plan July 2016
In June 2016 the Parish Council sought to update the Housing Needs Element of the 2013 Parish Plan in the light of the levels of housing development across the Parish and wider across Tarporley Ward. This was, in part, as a response to a fourth application submitted for Northgate/John Street in Utkinton as well as ‘The Old School’ in Cotebrook but primarily to ensure that the Parish Plan was as current as possible.
The document link below is the Housing Needs Survey analysed it contains the following ‘headline’ statistics
- Extrapolating the number of potential users of ‘affordable homes’ across the timeframe 2016 – 2016 equates to 5 individuals in total
- The Parish has an ageing population where 57% of the population is over 60 years and 19% over 75 years
- The largest proportion of respondents (92%) owned their property, 83% of which had 3 or more bedrooms
- The proportions of households For / Against a small development of affordable homes in the Parish was 56% / 44% (with 67 households responding)
